Hurry up or we are going to be late for soccer practice!
Mom had one, the neighbor had one, every kids’s mom on the soccer team had one. Hitting you right in the nostalgia is Auto World’s 1984 Dodge Caravan in 1/64 scale. This model had been announced earlier this year in February, but we were only teased with the 3d printed renderings. Now Auto World has shared their first hand samples on Facebook, and they look fantastic!

Peep that wood paneling! The prototypes ride on slim white wall tires and feature an opening hood. Sadly, it looks like they didn’t grant my wish for a sliding side door. But man, I can feel that fuzzy, fake burgundy velvet interior like it was right here in front of me. Previews of the UltraRed and RAW chase pieces are also posted, which ought to be treasured by all collectors my age. Did you know these could be had with a 2.5L Turbo and a 5-speed manual transmission? Only the coolest moms had those…
Look for these Auto World 1/64 scale Dodge Carvans to be released sometime in the first half of 2023. They will be a part of Auto World’s “Carpool Lane” series. I can’t wait to see if some customizer swaps in a 5-speed shifter and a big ol’ turbo sticking out the opening hood! Oh and a 1/64 scale sack of soccer balls for the back… and some orange slices.
