Malaysia Diecast Expo is Back!
Malaysia Diecast Expo (aka MDX) is back for the third time this October and CastHeads is there for the ride! CastHeads Magazine, and for the first time, it’s cataloging app BUMPR, is supporting MDX22 as its media partners. CastHeads and MDX has been collaborating since 2018 (events not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the global pandemic). The driving partner for MDX22 is MOTONATION, and is supported by Tom’s Stickers, JL Hobby, and SpanarBoy.
The Expo is held in conjunction with the Toys Anime Games Comic Con (TAGCC), Malaysia’s largest annual celebration of all things hobby. MDX has been part of it since 2018 and is coincidentally one of the largest single attractions in an event that is sure to attract tens of thousands of people. This year, the event will be held at the Tropicana Gardens Mall Convention Center located in the Damansara area of Petaling Jaya on the 22nd and 23rd of October 2022.
MDX19 saw a lot of firsts, both for the event itself and CastHeads. Our first custom collaboration with KROME BANDITS was an astounding success with all the limited edition pieces selling out pre-event. Each was individually signed by both our founders.
The car, a 67 Camaro, were painted with the shocking pink found on the CastHeads logo, and accents in the other colors, and presented in a jewel box with a cover.
CastHeads also managed the Kustom Kompetition which not only saw some amazing submissions from all over Asia, but the judging panel included local and international customizers. Joe Kanno from Japan, Vinoth Madivanan (aka Grey Ghost Customs) and Bizzy B from Krome Bandits picked three winners from a load of entries that were displayed at the event.
This year, we see the participation of MINIGT, POP RACE, IGNITION MODELS, TOMYTEC, PARA64, HOBBY JAPAN and INNO MODELS. This is in addition to the retailers and other specialty vendors that will be at the event. CASTHEADS and BUMPR is looking forward to a truly exciting and rewarding event this year.
