It ain´t easy to be a Civic owner…
…but it`s much easier if you own an Honda Civic (FD2) Type R Mugen! The eight generation of the Civic family probably changes everything you think to know about one of Hondas best-selling cars.
Otto just released their 1/18 scale version of the street legal rocket. Coming in “Championship White” with bronze colored wheels this model looks fantastic. Great work from the French company!

Otto took a lot of effort to add all the tiny details and captured all those great curves and lines of the original model. The only small bummer is a slightly unaligned license plate on the back but considering the great price point of Otto-Models it´s not a let down.4

Everything else just sits where it belongs…letterings, Brembo emblems on the brakes and even the small Mugen logo is perfectly transferred into the small scale.
Mugen, the Japanese tuner, have their roots in preparing F1 machines and they tuned the FD2 to solid 221 hp courtesy of its K20A four-cylinder motor.

VTEC kicks in!
Around 5800 rpm the little VTEC light flashes on the dashboard and turns your four-door family sedan into a touring car. Now we know whats the meme about!

Conclusion
If you still have no Civic in your collection, like me, this is a perfect moment to change that. The FD2 isn’t one of those models you’ll see everyday and Otto made a great job! So hurry up and get yourself a nice treat!
