The SENNA EVENT CAR
We get a look at the Majorette event car at the HongKong Toy Car Salon 2021
It’s an exciting time, after months possibly even years, we are getting the first ‘live action’ scale model car Salon and it kicks off this week 25-26th September in Hong Kong. If you are in or close to HK and have a chance to get over there, then make sure you pay the event a visit because there are going to be a lot and we mean a lot of event cars for sale.

Event Exclusives
I didn’t know anything about event exclusives until I started hitting events now that I do I am fortunate to have a few. Don’t get me wrong, these are not going to accrue any serious collector value unless the car is plated in gold or studded in conflict free diamonds. But there is an air of exclusivity that lends the overall collection a feel of being a part of something bigger.
Sometimes, brands go through the trouble of producing an exclusive which usually costs way more than the normal car, or they take an existing mold and change the colour and add the event year and logo on it. Either way it makes collectors happy.

The Senna
In this case Majorette comes smashing through the door with the first pick. A decent budget pick that will allow you to make the most of your dollars as you peruse through the countless spending opportunities AT THE HONGKONG TOY CAR SALON 2021!

We couldn’t get the actual event car into our hands, but we did get the prototype SENNA from Majorette in Orange (The event car will be in Blue). As you can see it is one of the more basic 1/64 versions you’ll come across, forget about trying to compare it to the TarmacWorks + MiniGT release of the #Shmee version. But, it doesn’t look out of shape and certainly reps the Senna pretty well.

The Car

The car sits on 8 spoke black wheels like this model and to be honest I think the blue looks so much better on the SENNA which was actually built more for speed than courting the eyes. The other cool business about this model is that sometimes Majorette includes opening parts, on this that would be the scissor doors. Simple, nice, budget friendly and limited absolutely no reason why you should be at the Toy Car Salon in Hong Kong the weekend of 25-26 September and have one of these in your pocket.
